ABOUT THE PROJECT
The students that participate in the spirit program as a cheerleader or mascot must go through the same NCAA compliance requirements as their peers in sports. They take pride in the uniforms, practice facility, education, and training that it takes to be a collegiate cheer program. This funding would allow the team to receive updated poms, safety mats and summer education providing new training, skills, and performance routine material. Funding would also allow for updates to the mascot uniform, last purchased in 2016.
HOW WILL THE PROJECT IMPACT STUDENTS
The spirit program at TLU is integral to the pageantry of the games showcasing the Bulldog Spirit. Each year, students interested in the program come to TLU so they can continue their cheer/mascot career.
